I was getting a cup of coffee at the YMCA, and someone asked me how the pool was. Heh, guess I was sweating a little.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Weight was 256.5 on my scale. I'll take that as my starting weight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast:&lt;br /&gt;1/2 cup oatmeal with flax seed, cinnamon and sliced almonds.&lt;br /&gt;small apple&lt;br /&gt;Lunch:&lt;br /&gt;Salad (Shrooms, sprouts, bacos, squash, maters, spinach, romaine) + tomato dressing&lt;br /&gt;banana&lt;br /&gt;Grapefruit&lt;br /&gt;Dinner:&lt;br /&gt;Brussel sprout, leek, cauliflower soup.  Green salad with cilantro, salsa verde and fat free refried beans. Apple. So a little bit about myself. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm 32, I've had hypertension for the last ten years.  I've been through all sorts of tests, but it's pretty much undiagnosed as the cause.  I did show to have some white-coat hypertension on my 24 hour study.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6'2" currently around 260lbs.  I work out 3-4 times a week when I'm not sick.  I like to lift weights, (Stonglifts 5x5), do yoga, martial arts, mountain biking and spin classes.   I've been in the top 10 for cardio minutes and weight lifted a couple of times this year at my local YMCA.  I'm not svelte, but I carry my weight really well. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My wife has been diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri, and has started Diomox.  We're doing this diet for her, with the side effect of me hopefully doing well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I plan to use this blog to let people out there who are thinking of following Dr. Fuhrman's Eat to Live book.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My former typical diet looked like:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Breakfast: Protein shake (Whey protein, banana, nuts, almond milk, creatine)&lt;br /&gt;Snack: Greek yogurt + apple&lt;br /&gt;Lunch: Leftovers + salad.
